Welcome to all Our Affiliates

Becoming an affiliate and adding a link to your website can be very rewarding and eventually attract more visitors to your own site as well as earning you money.
Our affiliate program is managed using "PayDotCom" which is an excellent system and easy to use. This is an independant third party manager that helps you set up your affiliate links and keeps a track of hits and transactions so that you always know what is happening and what monies you are earning.

 Getting Started

To sign up as an affiliate you click on the link at the bottom of the "German Shepherd Training" website. This takes you to the Affiliate program information page. Near the bottom of the page are links to enable you to join PatDotCom.com as an affiliate.

After clicking on the link, you will find a simple form to fill in to become an affiliate. Once registered you will want to go to the home page of PayDotCom to get started. When you arrive there you will be asked to sign in with the email address and password you entered into the application form. After log in in you will arrive at the page shown below. Click on "Promote Products"

The page hardly seems to change (but it does). Now click on"As an Affiliate"

This takes you to the page below. Click on the link "create/view campaign"

This takes you to the important "Promotion Tools Page" where you can scroll down to select the Affiliate link adverts and other tools on offer to help you succeed with your campaigns.

The screen shot below shows the the email letter tool. This automatically contains your identifying code (no need for you to enter it) and this email would be copied and pasted into your own email sending program so that it can be sent out to your own list of subscribers. (If you had a lot of subscribers you would use a "mail merge program" to do this). Any one clicking on the link would be taken to the German Shepherd Training website but you would be accredited with the introduction if there was a sale

Below you can see the tool where you aquire the actual advert to put on to your own website. Again there is an automatic code created so that the advert is unique to you. You can see what the advert will look like and you will find there is more than one advert to choose from.

To copy to your website, left click and select ALL the text in the box, Right click and then select "Copy" from the drop down menu. You can minimise/leave the Paydot com website now and open "Notepad" (or similar text editor) and paste the copied text into a "new" file. Save this where you can find it again. This means you will have a copy of the code saved on your computer

When you are ready copy the saved text from note pad. You will now need to open your Webpage Editor such as "Frontpage" or Dreamweaver" Open your Home (Index) page and click to mark your insertion point for the advert. Click on the tab which shows the HTML code for that page - the cursor should be showing at your chosen insertion point. Right click at that point and select paste from the drop down menu. Now save.

Back in the Webpage view you will see where the advert is located although it will look mostly like a grey rectangle. Don't worry it will correct when it is live on line.

All as you have to do now is upload your modified website onto your server using the FTP facility in Frontpage/Dreamweaver etc. Check your website live on line to ensure that all is well.

Further down on the PayDotCom page you will find some "Fly In" and "Pop Up" adverts. Actually they are quite fun, However, we do not like them because many visitors to a website are irritated by pop ups also those that appear as you exit a website occur just when someone has decided to go elsewhere - not the best time to get someone to linger and study a new item. If you would like one on your site there is one available, the choice is yours.

A promotion method not shown on the PayDotcom website (obviously) is the use of Google Adwords. this works because it delivers visitors who are focused exactly on your subject (German Shepherd Dogs) and you only pay when some one actually clicks on your advert in Google or their associated sites. Again your advert would still carry your own identifying code.

If you wished to try this method of promotion we can supply you with German Shepherd related keywords and phrases which we know people would search on and give your Google Adword a greater chance of success.

However, although adwords can be very good at developing sales, it can also be costly, so do not try this until you feel confident you know what you are doing.
